The Purpose of my picture books:

My goal is to provide a hardback, Smyth-sewn picture book to as many kindergarteners as possible. My hope is to increase the love of reading without letting the lack of financial resources stand in the way of owning books. If you would like to sponsor a few students or a classroom, please send me an email or note. Bulk rates are available.

REVIEWS and RECOMMENDATIONS:

MY WORRY BRAIN MADE ME DO IT!, by Catherine Hulet, is an imaginative and engaging rhyming story that will help young readers overcome their fears. Hulet’s talented and masterful rhyme schemes coupled with Suzi Devlin’s creative illustrations, will captivate children and take them on an exciting journey.”

“Catherine Hulet is a master at writing literature for young children. Her “Max” series uses a loveable dog character to explore life events that might otherwise be scary for young children. When Max is worried about going to the doctor, Catherine uses humor and honesty to discuss these feelings until Max realizes that all will be fine. Catherine presented an author’s workshop assembly to our kindergarten, first and second grade students, exploring the creative process she goes through to write her stories. During the assembly read-aloud, all eyes and ears were focused on the book; students loved the rhyme and rhythm of the prose, as well as the beautiful illustrations. All kindergarteners left that day with their own personal copy of the book, thanks to Catherine’s efforts to procure donations and her belief that every child should have a book of their own. We look forward to Max’s next adventure!”
